I can’t add income/expenses — the Property list is blank
- You must first add at least one property under Manage Properties.
- Ensure the property is marked as Active.
My property doesn’t show up in the drop-down
- Check that it is marked “Active” in the Manage Properties list.
- Refresh your page after adding a new property.
I entered the date but got an error
- Only formats
DD-MM-YYYYorDD/MM/YYare accepted. - Example:
01-06-2024or01/06/24.
I accidentally entered the wrong record
- Use Delete to archive it.
- Then re-add with the correct details.
Categories look wrong
- The Property Expenses ledger uses a fixed list (set by HMRC).
- Unlike “Self Employment”, you can’t create custom categories.
I want to track deposits separately
- Use Description (e.g. “Deposit retained”).
- If it’s taxable, enter it as Property Income.
