Team Developer Income

As a Team Developer, you receive a monthly financial payment from Slimming World for the groups which you manage within your team. With each payment, Slimming World will issue a monthly Remittance Advice document which shows a list of payments which are being made to you.

Pulse can now automatically extract the payment date and total amount from this PDF, saving you time when recording your TD income.

What You’ll Need

Before you begin, make sure you have:

• Your TD Remittance Advice PDF saved to your computer
• Access to your Pulse account

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Log in to your Pulse account and navigate to Team Developer > Income
2. Click the Add button to add a new income record
3. You’ll see a box at the top labelled “Upload TD Remittance PDF (Optional)”
4. Click Choose File and select your Remittance Advice PDF
5. Wait a moment while Pulse reads your document (this may take a few seconds)
6. Once processed, the Date, Description, and Amount fields will automatically fill in
7. Review the extracted values to ensure they’re correct
8. Click Save to add the record

What Gets Extracted

Pulse will automatically extract the following from your TD Remittance Advice PDF:

• Date: The Remittance Date shown at the top of the document (e.g., “13 May 2024”)
• Amount: The Total amount shown at the bottom of the document
• Description: Automatically set to “Remittance Advice Payment”

Note: The date extracted is the Remittance Date (when Slimming World processed the payment), not the date of the individual transactions listed in the document. This is the correct date to use for your records.

If the Extraction Doesn’t Work

In some cases, Pulse may not be able to read your PDF. This can happen if:

• The PDF is a scanned image rather than a digital document
• The file is corrupted or password-protected
• The document format has changed from the standard layout

If extraction fails, you’ll see a message explaining what couldn’t be read. Simply enter the values manually:

1. Click Save
2. Open your PDF in a separate window
3. Find the Remittance Date near the top right (under the Slimming World logo)
4. Find the Total amount at the bottom of the page
5. Type these values into the form fields

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I upload multiple PDFs at once?

No, you’ll need to upload one PDF at a time. Each PDF creates one income record.

What if my Remittance Advice has multiple line items?

That’s fine! Pulse extracts the Total amount, which is the sum of all items on your remittance. You don’t need to record each line item separately.

Can I edit the values after they’re extracted?

Yes, the extracted values are just pre-filled into the form. You can change any of them before saving.

Why does processing take a few seconds?

Slimming World’s Remittance Advice PDFs are image-based documents, so Pulse uses text recognition technology to read them. This takes a moment to process.

Is the PDF stored in Pulse?

No, the PDF is only read to extract the values. It is not uploaded or stored in your Pulse account.
